Woodford County High School

Woodford County is a successful all-girls school with a proud history, located on Essex, London borders.

We have been working with Educo for a number of years, since 2011 when we were part of a small consortium of schools who wished to improve their school meal catering provision. Prior to Educo working with the school we had low take up and no financial gain from the service. We were very pleased with the initial 3 year catering agreement which was extended for a further period and then as required by best practice re-tendered in 2017.

Under Educo’s service management we have substantially improved the school meal take up and offer our pupils Soil Association, Silver Food for Life quality meals that meets the tastes and needs of our girls. We have received initial investment from the catering company which has been directed to catering facilities upgrade, a minimum guaranteed profit share and further benefits if performance targets are exceeded. These amounts have really helped the school budget.

Educo work with us to provide on-going expert advice and to help drive the performance of the  Catering Agreement, which fully protects the school’s legal and commercial interests. The Educo Catering Agreement has financial penalty fees if the catering contractor fails to perform. We value the on-going and regular audits of standards that Educo provide by way of managing the service.

at a fixed cost with smart KPI’s against which we have penalty clauses for non-performance. There are clear reporting procedures so monitoring standards and services are managed to a high standard.
